Descarian was enjoying a quiet afternoon off by reading by the river when this lovely merlady decided to see what he was doing. This has led to a beautiful friendship.The merfolk of Medan aren't illiterate, by the way. They simply have a very different writing system from the land-dwellers, and very few of them have ever learned the other's written language. Perhaps Yevira here will be the first to translate land literature into mer!
