I loved the book, but I have never seen the movie. I have met Yann Martel and got the book signed though.

I really like this! No color was a good idea and you made really good choices for shading. The style itself is also great, like something you'd see in a book. The lines and the tiger especially make me think of Asian art for some reason. I know the characters are Indian but still. Nice work.

The book's about a boy called Pi Patel. His family has a zoo but they want to move to Canada from India so they sell most of the animals and only take a few which have been sold to a canadian zoo (if i remember correctly...). They suffer shipwreck in the middle of the ocean and the only survivors are Pi, a zebra, an orangutan, a hyena and a tiger - they're all stuck in one boat. Then the animals eat each other and only Pi and the tiger remains. The story is mostly about Pi trying to survive on the ocean, trying to get food and water not only for himself but for the tiger as well. It's really interesting and once i started reading it i couldn't put it down XD
