We pretty much got candy wasted during this shoot. We shot at Dylan's Candy bar here in NYC, which was one of my dream shoot locations! I've been to Dylan's Candy Bar maybe three times, but that was before HOMESTUCK. Next visit to Manhattan, I want to bring a friend and some trickster cosplay stuff. This is awesome.

I don't know why, but seeing just the backs of characters just universally gives them a larger dramatic aura. Seeing these characters with these outfits in that bright setting gives the picture a sad undertone, especially with the bright white light in the center and on the sides, along with a sort of nostalgic feeling. It just says, "We've been through a lot and no only have we remained strong, but we've done it together and we're never letting go." Which, I guess basically is what happened with the Tricksters. I'm going to take a wild guess and say at least one part of that was an intentional hidden message?
Anyhow, very good job at capturing that sort of essence in this picture.
