Been working on some updated sketches of my Alicorn designs and was really liking how the face came out. Did this as a way to try the design out so I didn't go super detailed or anything.Related content

I just really, really love the facial expression in this piece. She's so. . . solemn here. It's very fitting for a princess who has had to rule for centuries; making some very difficult decisions in that time.

She had a more intense expression originally, but with the bangs it covered her eyebrow > 3 < so she ended up looking more solemn or lost in thought.

Oh man, she's so beautiful. I love the shape of her face, I think you should use that all ponies, not just alicorns, but it's your call of course. And I love her expression, too. I think of Celestia as kind of a troubled soul, wise and gentle, but hiding a sadness that's associated with her immortality. So yea, definitely liking this

Well I've been reworking my pony faces since Pinkie Pie. So actually the "alicorn face" is just the pony face with a bit longer muzzle
