Today I was talking to ~ryokogirle and I was like "I feel like drawing Jasmine, she's so underappreciated!" and she was like "DO IT!" and I did what I was told.Jasmine has always been my favourite. Both in appearance and in personality; she's just spunky.

edit: Yup, her nose is not a mistake. Her nose is quite big if you look at screenshots, though maybe not this big. I wanted to exaggerate her Arabic Ethnicity (it saddens me to see people draw her like a tanned caucasian!! )

The things is Arabs are of deferent kinds, the ones who live in Syria, Lebanon and Iraq (where Aladdin is set) are a sub-group who are known for their light skin (white skin sometimes) and lighter skin brown people, even the facial features are very close to their northern European neighbors.. anyways, the portrayal is not very inaccurate in the movie. The problem with Hollywood movies like that is when they choose the lighter-skin and better looking as the heroes, and further stereotypes the evil guys using the ugly, dark-skinned, big-nosed and hairy ones.
Sorry for the long comment, it's a great illustration. And i still appreciate you trying to be more accurate to the real people

I Love jasmine! I like her normal outfit better, but mostly because I like that greenyblue colours more than the red. I didn't mind Esmerelda, she had such a cute cute design! And I liked how her voice wasn't sickeningly high! However, I thought she was just too too american ><; like her personality was too sassy and brash but kind of in an obnixious and no longer cute way ><;
