Species: Ouroboros demon
Species Description: A very rare, artificial demon. All of them were once humans who were changed into demons as the result of a desire to execute a grudge. They're like living toys or gladiators made by more powerful demons for entertainment. They’re natural energymancers and are usually seen as parasites because of their tendency to steal energies from other creatures. When in humanoid form, they seal their soul along with most of their abilities in an external vessel. Vessels usually take on the form of a snake or small serpent-like dragon. Removing the soul and abilities is a way to protect the demon, but also alters the demon’s form and weakens it. If the body is killed, the vessel will continue to carry the soul until a new body can be taken. The demon will die if the vessel is killed however, and the body will experience any pain the vessel feels.
- Hexing He’s constantly studying it partially because he never took a class to get a degree. It’s also a way for him to satisfy his natural craving for power without resorting to stealing it from other creatures.
- Energymancy This comes naturally to him, and he can use it to manipulate light to draw out hex signs without a writing utensil. He can also manipulate kinetic and thermal energy to manipulate electricity and start fires.
- Wings His wings are too small and the feathers aren’t meant for flight. They’re single, solid pieces shaped like feathers with a satin-like feel to them. His wings are very flexible and can move and bend in any direction. The feathers are usually very light and soft and will flutter in a breeze, but he can rearrange their composition at will, making them into a harder form of carbon. They can be detached and thrown with a flick of his wing. The feathers are very strong and can even withstand a blast of fire, so his wings can be used as shields as well as weapons. However, the feathers are somewhat brittle in this state and may break if struck. His wings and feathers regenerate if removed.

Likes:
- The color purple. Can you tell?
- Sweets. He doesn’t eat much, but when he does eat, he’s usually having pastries and tea
- Solitude. He’s very much an introvert and being around people tends to tire him out if he doesn’t get frustrated first. After he finishes teaching for the day, he usually retreats back to his room or his office and stays there until he’s needed to teach again.
- Being wanted. He has a bit of a love/hate relationship with this one. On one hand, he likes to be alone and know his actions won’t affect anyone and vis versa. On the other hand, he likes when (certain) people come to his door just to see him, but he tends to push them away because of the first thing. There’s just no pleasing this guy.
- Books. He’s always reading something. In general, he prefers reading non-fiction and studying, but every now and then he’ll pick up a fiction book and read it.
- Writing and drawing. He can be creative every now and then and will write down a short story idea or sketch a picture in one of his notebooks. No, he’ll never share any of it with anyone. It doesn’t matter how much they try.
- Flowers and plants. He mostly uses these things for rituals, incense, hex removal, ect. but he also just likes flowers and keeps a few pots of them in his room.
- Shiny things. Gems, knives, glass, ect. He displays these things around his office and room.
- Scarves, soft jackets, and fuzzy socks
Dislikes:
- Loud noises or anything else that startles him
- Yellow and orange. They’re too bright and ugly
- Cold air and snow. The cold can bother his asthma and snow is just wet and annoying
- Dirt, disorganization, and clutter
- Spicy foods. Spicy scents and teas are okay though
- Being touched without his permission
- Being told he’s short. He knows
Strengths:
- Hexing. He spends a lot of his time studying and reviewing because he never took a proper hexing class.
- Energymancy
- Knives. Tricks, combat, collecting, you name it.
Weaknesses:
- He’s about as strong as a bundle of dry grass. A good breeze could probably knock him over, and grabbing him too hard could easily make him yelp and bruise
- Has asthma. It’s not especially sensitive, but the usual Otherworlde cold, dry air can cause flare-ups, so he tries to stay inside when he can or when it’s particularly cold out.
- His control of energymancy depends heavily on his vision, so blinding him would prevent him from using most of it. For example, he wouldn’t be able to manipulate light to draw hex signs
- Nearsighted. He can’t read or recognize faces from much of a distance without his glasses
Goals:
- To get someone in his department to graduate. You can do it, Oleander. The strength of a thousand penguins is with you
Fears:
- Losing his vessel snake. He’s not sure what would happen if he lost it, but he knows it physically hurts him when it gets too far away
- Being forced out of the school. He’s not a very social or friendly person, but he appreciates having a place to stay and something to contribute to
Personality:
- Anti-social
- Mistrusting
- Devoted
- Sourpuss
Haku's overall very quiet and reclusive. When he gets close to someone he can be very protective to the point where it's a little maddening. Outside of teaching his classes, he's not very interested in seeing anyone for any reason and actually goes out of his way to curse and enchant his building to keep people out after class hours.
While he's very strict towards students, he seems quite protective of them, and is willing to put himself in danger's way for them. This shouldn't be mistaken for simple kindness, however. He can be reckless with the things he does and often gets himself hurt, but this never stops him from doing it again.
He holds grudges. He holds a lot of them, he's violent when it comes to striking back at people, and he will never reconsider his feelings of hatred toward others. Having him as an enemy is in no way a good thing.
