I'd like to believe if there was an AU for Princess Tutu with less of the fairytale elements to translate into the Miraculous Ladybug universe. Something about Rue's transformations into Kraehe sort of reminded me of the concept of akumatization, which in turn inspired this.

The Princess Tutu characters would be foreign exchange students from Germany, and it is Rue's inner jealousy and paranoia that her love (Mytho) will be taken away from her that helps contribute to her getting akumatized. Her ballet slippers are what gets infected by the akuma.
