Description
Got inspired by 's Pokemon Trainer Styled Characters and decided to draw some of my favorite characters as Pokemon Trainers and trying to imitate Ken Sugimori's art style. I actually did do a similar picture last year with somewhat different designs (Jack and Sally were in the original picture but I haven't thought of a good improved design for their Pokemon Trainer selves), so this is a remake of a picture you'll never see.

I thought the design I gave Barrel here was a massive improvement over the original design he got which looked ugly (for some reason, I really like his hat here and the buttons on it, something X/Y inspired), Shock remained pretty much intact (well, the only real difference was the bag), and Lock is kinda the same though the original design was a hoodie.

I'll be honest, this was actually kinda difficult to design Lock, Shock, and Barrel, mainly since I realized that taking Halloween-themed characters and making them look like what a main trainer would wear is very difficult. Plus their clothes didn't have much detail to offer (other than the frills on Shock's dress and the bone patterns on Barrel's costume). I did sorta have the idea to incorporate their masks into the designs but kinda quit on that.
