fun fact: even though the series only had 5 seasons (3 of which were ill-received) the series is the first nickelodeon show to have the word crap, it invented the gross-out zoom in, and also had a spinoff called "The Goddamned George Liquor Web Show." It wasn't official, but it was very popular!
Also, it ushered in a "Golden Age" of cartoons, inspiring SEVERAL popular shows, like Flapjack, Spongebob, Beavis and Butthead, and even South Park!

You know halfway through the series there was a lawsuit about them saying fire? True story... 0.o

Yeah, it's because some dumb kid burned his house down whom was supposively a fan of the show. As a result the media tried to paint the show as "evil."
So they had to edit out any hints of Beavis' "pyromania."
They even made fun of it in-show a few times.
Like Beavis once said, "Liar liar pants on-... WHOA!"
In the first new season revival episode they had Beavis say "fire" alot as kinda a "take-that" on that old censorship situation.

Yeah, it's true. Also, I heard that kid's family didn't even have cable, or MTV, so he couldn't of even seen "Beavis & Butthead," yet they still blamed it...
Ironically, the show is actually kinda tame compared to most "animated sitcoms" nowadays.
