I decided to be a little nuts with the design changes on this one, I wanted him to feel more wild than weird

Discord was once something else, maybe a pony, maybe a dragon, maybe a griffon. Even he's uncertain since it was so long ago, and it doesn't really matter much to him anyway. He is a part of the wild nature of Equestria much in the same way Celestia and Luna are part of the sun and moon. His title of "Lord of Chaos" comes from a misunderstanding of his powers. Most in Equestria was controlled and contained after his reign, so it seems chaotic and unnatural to most living ponies. His magic is unpredictable in the way nature is, and he's simply fully harnessed his abilities.

His take over of Equestria wasn't malicious, not entirely. Immortality isn't kind, and he more or less lost his way on a moral compass. Living so long, he'd forgotten that mortals are more than a play thing.

Celestia released Discord into the custody of Fluttershy, and he was "reformed" under her care. Really, it was just that he needed a little kindness and to have his eyes reopened to mortality, and living in the moment. He can be a supreme pain in the ass though, and he's definitely not the most tactful of creatures. He is a HUGE thorn in the side for Princess Twilight, even if she does think he's interesting.

Him, Flutters, and Celestia often have tea together. Celestia and Fluttershy are good friends, and Discord often feels it's "unfair" when they gang up on him.

He absolutely doesn't touch the weird fued between the two sisters with a 10 foot pole, he doesn't want both of the sisters aggrevation directed at him ever again. Twice was enough, even if the second go round was entertaining for him.

Discord is in a relationship with Queen Celestia, but neither of them really feel like committing to the idea of marriage
