Description
Echo wondered where exactly he was. He remembered going to sleep, but had he been taken off the ship? The opening to the building ahead were open and large enough for him to fit into. He rolled forward, then stopped as he heard noises. He looked down and saw two small beings run inside, one with tan skin, the other fur. Stuff which only existed in books and comics in his world. He realized there were many things here, and he made sure to be more careful as he continued forward.

the main lobby was large, and it was quiet, he realized. It was a library and the smell of books reached him and he frowned. He didn't remember the last time he read an actual book. He throttled back the power to his engine, and rolled forward.

The pretty creature with long hair and odd four legged body smiled up at him, then down below him. He was slightly startled when he felt something lean against his front landing gear. Hew couldn't see it, but soon the feeling was gone and three skeleton things trotted out from under him, one of them barking at him before running down one of the isles of books. He saw the creature with fur and a tail, carrying books, and another two legged creature with green skin walking up to the pretty creature behind the desk.

he turned, careful of everyone else and rolled down an isle, thankful that the books seemed to be large enough for him to read. He stopped, looking at a certain book titled 'Machine World, Could Machines be alive?' It was interesting, but he lacked the ability to grab it and it was just a bit higher then his cockpit. He turned off his engines and wondered what had attracted him to this book. He'd always been curious if other worlds turned out the way his had, but by the looks of things, there were many different kinds, or maybe his imagination was just going wild tonight.

"Do you need help machine guy?"

Echo looked up to see a pretty creature with two legs sort of holding onto the bookshelf above him. She was thin, and wore a pretty cloth that covered her tan skin. he realized that he had assigned her a gender, maybe these pretty ones were female.

"What are you?" Echo asked politely and the creature giggled.

"I'm a human witch silly. Everyone, well, except you, knows that. I'm magical see?" She floated off the case and came ove over alighted gently on his nose. "Now what book were you looking at?"

"Machine Wolrd, Could Machines be Alive?" he said and the human went over and would the nook.

"Well, you know your alive, but you can read whatever you want!" She giggled, waving her hand the book came floating off the shelf and floated in front of him. "Just speak the word 'next' to flip the pages, 'save' to book mark, 'up' to pick the book up and 'down' to put the book down. I know it can be hard for some creatures to read, enjoy!" She went skipping off down the isle.

'Thank you Ma'am!" He called after her, and carefully turned around, watching as the book followed him. He went back up to the desk and said 'down'. The female creature at the desk looked it over and entered it into the computer sitting before her. She nodded and he carefully navigated to an open corner and settled down quietly saying'next' and the book opened before him.

Echo awoke with a yawn as the ship announced the changing of shifts. It was his shift after all and he looked around. Still on the ship. He rolled out of his assigned parking area, watching as another hornet took his spot and settled down for a nap with a small smirk.

"Hey Echo!"

He looked up and grinned as he saw his friend Bravo.

"Hey Bravo." Echo replied, "ready to work?"

"You bet, I've been itching to get up for a patrol." He gave himself a small shake. "Have a nice sleep?"

Echo thought about his dream. It was odd, but he had liked it. He hoped he would be able to go back, he didn't finish reading the book.

"It was great."

The hardest part of this was the checker pattern on the tail. It was small enough in RL it make it difficult. However, I'm quite proud of how well I colored this.
