Description
I decided to give my Tegaki some love and this was the end result. I haven't drawn official Sonic characters for a good bit, so this is just as good.

The title for this deviation stems from Oriental folklore concerning soul mates. The red string of fate is attached to one's pinky (as seen above) at birth and connects a person to their soul mate. Traditionally it's only severed by the death of a soul mate, or if one were to marry someone other than the former.

It also makes sense as the design drafts for Amy's Sonic CD appearance had her wearing a red ribbon in her hair as her headband, along with her numerous references to fate and destiny throughout the course of the series. She's never far behind when it involves Sonic (especially in recent titles), so I think it's safe to say that it's fate.
