It appears that the SOA winners have all been notified so it seems I can post this up without worrying about getting automatically disqualified by submitting the picture here on dA. Basically my intention was to depict a particular scene from Sonic Rush where Cream practically drags a reluctant Blaze to her house to meet her mom and possibly have some tea.

...They did have tea, right? o_O

Anyway, I did this in Corel Painter for about 6+ hrs the second to final night of the contest. I can easily say that I spent 3 1/2 hrs on Blaze alone because after I realized how long it was taking me I basically rushed with a 'well, it's getting done' mentality to just submit for the sake of submitting. Which, despite the fact that I personally like the overall atmosphere of the picture, it shows that I could have added a lot more detail and depth to it if I had just taken my bloody time.

Oh well.
