^^Not sure what inspired this image, it grew out of some random doodles.
The blue fishy people are father and kid.. I planned a short animation with them in a shopping mall, the music getting increasingly dramatic and tragic as the father says no to all the things the kid wants to buy D:
(EDIT) STORY:
-The green guy was watching over some kids and reading a story for them.
-But he's SO nearsighted he didn't notice when they all ran off!
-And the little blue guy found one of them, but his father won't let him keep it.

The designs of of monsters are simple yet effective.
I was bit confused about the relationship between the green '"dog" and the green monster reading.
This picture looks like it could be a section of a larger picture showing a whole city of monsters.
