Now, someone asked if I could draw Jayfeather.. Well, I had drawn him before, but I realized not properly in my new style
So I made an updated version of my old Jay-picture, full with background and everything

Hmmm never thought much about it, I've never been interested in a romantic storyline for Jayfeather, I mean he was dramatic enough even without a love life (he was so tiresome to read about whenever the prophecy was involved, which was like 95% of the time...) The whole thingy with Half Moon felt a little forced too, the erins are too fond of rushed romances with no build-up, I mean they didn't even know eachother!
Ugh don't remind me, first of all I despise the notion that Cinderpelt spent her entire adult life pining after Firestar. Maybe, just maybe, she crushed on him as a kid, he was heroic and dumb and charming and whatnot, but who's to say she never moved on? What is it with this fandom and never-ever moving on from your first crush? Firestar was basically Cinderpelt's stand-in father, an older brother, a mentor, a friend - why couldn't that have been the focus instead? Why should all love be romantic, and never familial? Sorry, I always end up raving whenever this topic shows up, it just annoys me that bad.
Cinderheart I couldn't ever manage to care for, but neither did I like Lionblaze, so basically I couldn't care less about them. She was dumb and undeserving, he was dumb and undeserving so honestly I wouldn't really wish either of them on anyone. xD (Of course it's not like that in my fanfiction, but then again I tweak all the characters heavily whenever I write them, to actually 'like' them really xD)

I like him more when he was an apprentice, his comments were often funny. Like how he told Birchfall that his job was to heal him (Birch), if he wanted sympathy then go to the nursery 
That's how I see it too, but I kind of like the idea of Cinderpelt with Littlecloud. Both are close to the same age (Littlecloud was forced into his apprenticeship early by Brokenstar), but it's nice to hear how their friendship survived everything that happened, and how Littlecloud was firm to not give up his dedication to Cinderpelt's memory. If anyone should been her mate, I think Littlecloud would had been the best choice.
I think Lionblaze could be awesome (he was a fun apprentice who turned boring)...truly that stupid prophecy just sucked out the good stuff. Lionblaze didn't know about the prophecy until Jaypaw finally mentioned it. But he never really thought about it...until Omen of the Stars when he suddenly becomes obsessed over it.

If we'd had this cranky little shithead of an apprentice, I'd have been overjoyed. That was so much better than the prophecy-obsessed jerk he was, he really didn't seem to properly 'care' for anyone when the prophecy was in the way. I didn't like it at all. And you're right, we don't see much of the funny, oups-I-made-a-mistake apprentice times anymore, hell every kid past 6 months is always given a cruel omen so they haven't even got time for being children anymore... why does Starclan think it's such a good idea to give omens to inexperienced apprentices??
Littlecloud is a sweetpea. I liked him especially because he didn't let his heart cloud his judgement so much he actually overstepped his boundaries and the clans' laws. He just... spent his entire life admiring her from a distance, it was so bittersweet. But I never was able to see Cinderpelt as 'mates' with anyone; she was such a good medcat, she was basically family with everyone because of her good disposition.
That's just it. He could have been awesome. Instead he was just a bumbling idiot who either took things too seriously, or not seriously at all. And it wasn't like he cared overmuch about the prophecy, it was more his own powers which drove him, and that doesn't sound healthy in the least, it's a whole other kind of obsession.
