I've almost choked on work and busy stuff happening the last, well, weeks or so, meaning there's been a long time between any attempt at drawing whatsoever... -.- Finally I put some hours in this weekend, and here's a wee little result for ya~Yes fellas, it's back to my lil' BramblexSquirrel fanbabies - but, with a twist. Because here also features Shadow-chu 's babies, these two; Little Ones , from her own fanfiction. A cross-universe meet-up of adorable babies~ ;w;
What a cute little quartet they make, right? Flowerkit, Plumekit, Talonkit and Flamekit - two brindled torties, two reds, two mackerel tabbies, and two ticked tabbies haha~ Flowerkit and Talonkit are also much more Abyssinian-like, from their mother's side, while Plumekit and Flamekit take more after the Norwegian Forest cat from their papa, though to be honest Plumekit still wins the "fluffiest tail award" this time too. x3

I never realized it before...but Flowerkit is gorgeous in terms of coloration.
But wait...none of them were Somali-like? I thought that would be the first option due to Squirrelflight (which is what I used for Yewpaw), then I had Sparkpaw be an Abyssinian to go with that ‘looking like Firestar’ thing.

Well, no not really, not here at least. Both Flame and Plume took after their daddy there - but in our merged litter, you could say things have been turned on their heads, since then it'll be Squirrelflight they'll take the most after.

Although I admit, for Yellowfang's character not to be ruined, I just have to make Squirrelflight sterile in my headcanon. They clearly kit-napped Alderpaw and Sparkpaw. It really makes me want to throw the book out the window, because of all cats, Yellowfang knew better. Why not appear to Firestar in a dream and tell him to go find his daughters and tell Leafpool it would be ok instead of lying to Squirrelflight?
And there was no need to make Squirrel/Bramble parents. They already raised their three wonderful kits and still have two sons to love. It seems like the Hunters are trying to make blood-bonds the most important thing, and it feels a little selfish of them to give Squirrelflight new kits instead of acknowledging that she's already a mother.

The entire thing was a scandal, and dealt with so badly it shone through once and for all just how crappy authors the Erins are. First of all Yellowfang was a jerkface times ten, and even the idea of Starclan forcibly making Squirrelflight sterile for this was extremely selfish and disgusting (you do not, I repeat, NOT, ruin a she-cat's entire chance of familial happiness even if there's this 'doom' approaching) And let me also say YES, I would totally prefer Yellow to have gone by Firestar and just "um your daughters are in trouble would it kill you to go help them out properly before they make a mistake even bigger? Trust me I know what I'm talking about." ;w;
And the whole reunion between Squirrel and Bramble never even took place. Yeah he gave her the deputy position, but not one, not ONE measly word of apology and admittance he had been unreasonable, and instead they threw us a cheap triangle drama with the copycat Jessy... and yeah like you said, it's almost never acknowledged that Squirrelflight is still a mother through and through (I didn't mind them giving them kids but Alder and Spark are utterly boring design- and characterwise) and there's no family dynamic anywhere either... this here is the reason I write fanfiction, gods...

I'd like to think that Jessy's entire point was to be a younger Squirrelflight. To remind Bramblestar of what he had loved about Squirrelflight. But really, of the two, Bramblestar's at fault. He never even admitted his involvement with the Dark Forest.
And yeah, Sparkpaw is a Squirrelpaw clone and Alderpaw is a Leafpaw clone. Wonderful.

The second part of your comment I didn't realize how true it was until I saw the quotes on their Wiki pages...no wonder they both suck already.
I love the Erin Hunter who does Survivors (read them if you can, they are very good and thrilling), but the ones who do Warriors...they need to just stop, sit down together and get their priorities straight...or better yet, just stop writing more books...

Yep, hypocrite alright. But the whole Jessy thing was just so... forced. Like, Bramble and Squirrel weren't young anymore, and with all the shit they'd already been through... like, Bramble was never the type for that sort of thing in my head at least. Then again, the erins have only ever written him as a hypocrite so I dunno what I even expected. -.-

Plumpkit is too adorable! They all are, but she's just so fluffy and cute!
I'm not very pleased that Bramblestar and Squirrelflight are together in the books and I'm not a big fan of Sparkpaw and Alderpaw either and I'm only half way through the new book. But if these four cuties were to come from them being mates, it would be worth it!
You should make fanbabies of Bramblestar and Jessy's litter. With the way you draw, their kits would be so cute ^^

I think I would've been better pleased with their reunion if the Erins had handled their case better; like, actually handing out proper apologies and now have Bramble behave like an ass again only one book later. And the entire drama with Jessy was so unnecessary too, ugh. I don't like Alderpaw or Sparkpaw at all either though, even if I haven't read a single book after the Last Hope (I jumped ships after that one to preserve my sanity and temper ^^') But of course these babies are much more precious~ xD
We'll... see... I can't promise anything when it comes to fanbabies since I've got my hands full with my Purebreds project.

I love these kits...because I am afraid I won't have any in my story.
Bramble x Squirrel is nice...but I feel like they probably would never be the same again. I know sometimes a big thing can end up making a couple because closer, but in this case...I feel like having them be friends and leader and deputy is enough.
I'll admit that I am growing kind of fond of Bramble x Sorrel...

Even though I chose not to give her kits ever...I was thinking about something. Would Squirrelflight like with your Purebred Leafpool? Being a ginger means that her sons would be ginger (like Talon here and his friend)...would that mean that her daughters would be torties?

A question, what would am amber tortoiseshell look like? Shadow-Chu mentioned that you both have some cats slated for that (including Goldenflower)...but I was thinking...what if Dandelionkit was an amber tortoiseshell?
If Bramble is a Norwegian forest cat then he has amber, and if Squirrelflight can only have torties...I think it really fits her name...

Well, an amber tortie (sadly google has no goddamn reference for that, so you'll just have to imagine it for the time being) would be almost like any other tortie; the red areas will look just the same, but the places that ought to be black/brown will instead be amber-coloured. Some cats could look like a mesh rather of two different reddish colours (since certain ambers come off looking reddish)
It would fit for Dandelion, yes now when you mention it. And your colouration of her could work as an amber tortie as well as anything really, so I find it fitting. And considering how Alder and Spark are, she would proooobably have been more interesting anyway. -.-

If only there could be real life examples...it sounds like it would be a very pretty sight to lay eyes upon an amber tortoiseshell.
This is kind of random...but you know, if we were taking their names into account. I kind of like the idea that Sparkpaw would look a lot like your Tawnypelt, mostly having light ginger on her.
Then for Dandelion...maybe her amber markings could look reddish-gold while the red patches are also somewhat pale…
While I think Sparkpaw could be a Somali...could Dandelion be a short-haired Turkish Angora?

Yes, that's a good idea. Amber varies a lot in its expression, from golden-ish brown to proper red, so yeah that rendition for Dandelion would be nice.

i really love how they all look together QuQ would have been the cutest litter of four. i think it's especially neat with the boys, how Astar commented on Talon and Flame reflecting Tiger and Fire's name, and we also discussed how Talon resembles Fire more, and Flame is more physically reminiscent of Tigerstar. *-* <3

Thank you very much, happy to hear it! Yeah, you're actually onto the main reason why the boys got the names they did. I picked Talon because it's a twist on the normal "-claw" suffix you find in Bramble's family line, and Flame got his name according to Shadow-Chu 's story partly in honour of Flametail, and partly as a follow-up on the "fire" representing Firestar's family line.

They look great! I actually have my own OCs for Bramblestar and Squirrelflight. I imagined they'd had one litter in NP. To me, they had five kits. Two she-cats and three toms. The females are Rabbitpaw/spirit and Falconwing. The toms are Goldenhawk, Pinedust and Cedarstorm. In my AU, they also had another set of four kits. They are Flowerkit, Grasskit, Scorchpetal and Marshrunner. Besides that, I find it kind of hard to believe Squirrelflight and Bramblestar didn't have kits until Alder and his siblings.

I consider it ridiculous of the erins to have waited as long as they did, surely why wait a whole OTHER year after Bramblestar's storm to have them become parents?? That just took away a whole year of storytelling just like that.

As for the Bramble and Squirrel becoming parents, it is very pointless for them to wait that long so they can have kits. As you mentioned, they wasted a year of story telling and they wasted another year of life for the characters.
