Not uncomfortable actually, it was second hand so it wasn't stiff like new PVC corsets are.

No, you see. When Mr Skywalker turned to the dark side he became MISS Darth Vader, who finally embraced his inner minx (Hayden Christensen hubba hubba). I admit Darth is pretty butch for a girl but they didn't really specify.
So when 'Darth Vader' died on screen that was just a body double, because slinky Miss Vader didn't want her kid finding out that his dad turned into a hot babe.
