I found some other art I had scanned and not posted so I am taking a break from the project my last three pictures have been from. This is just a line sketch of a Mer. I have mer in the story I mention on occasion but this isn't one of them unless I change my mind. I envision mer folk as being somewhat tribal in culture, one with the ocean. So the design behind this is influenced by that idea.Related content

Definitely alien looking. He looks to be missing an eye.
The fin frills on his arms make sense. Almost like bat wings.
