Doodling at the 'anime punch; convention in Columbus Ohio. The composition here is lame but I am kinda bad at that without references. I had fun with the details here. This actually is on the back of the piece of carstock my 'cat thing' was drawn on.Related content

So the pirates tattoo waves on themselves. Do they all control magic and I also noticed they have the tribal braids of clansmen.

Pirates can be anyone of human or clansman if they feel like living that particular lifestyle. When I did this I was just doodling more than putting a lot of thought into it but I would say pirates do tattoo waves onto themselves, among other things. The waves are how they tell a pirate from anyone else in the crowd. The magic is just a result of doodling.
