What can you say about Phage?

The most popular theory was that she was Nicole's mom. Scurvy also had a theory she was the dark part of Nicole's mind. There were other rumors too...But I have an own interesting idea for Phage.

In the comics, Nicole is not exactly a virtualized Mobian, but she was a program created in the image of the late daughter of Dr. Ellidy, Nikki the Lynx. As with the release of Sonic 73 there are hints Phage is Nikki the Lynx, Ellidy's daughter? Nicole being a copy that became her own person and Phage being the original, corrupted by Eggman.

Now, in my future works, Nicole is not a virtual copy but Ellidy's actual daughter, and it was Robotnik who turned her into a handheld. And Nicole erased her and Robotnik's memories. Closer to the intended Satam. But Dr. Ellidy is still Nicole's dad, and he's still a power ring expert. However, it is my OC Ellen the Lynx, that is Nicole's mother.

Well, Ellidy and Ellen didn't know their daughter still lived on as a computer and in secret tried to virtually recreate thier daughter...which became Phage. But Phage turned out defective...aggressive...insane. So she was locked away in the digital world. But like Nicole she learned and became too powerful and by the time that Dark Gaia showed his ugly mug she managed to free herself.

So my Phage is a total flip of what is in the comics. Nicole as the original and phage as the copy.

She is vengeful towards her 'parents' for locking her away and she is vengeful towards Nicole because not only she is a shadow of Nicole, but also dislikes her because she got Ellidy's and Ellen's love.

Since Nicole still bears her pre-reboot design, Phage gets a modified version of Nicole's post-reboot design. The mask is a reference to the Cheshire cat, hence her toothy grin, and its a fairy tale Phage will be quite obsessed with.
