Where do you think you can get the materials to make the fursuit head, and how do you put on the fur? Do you do something to the foam to shape it?

Great tutorial, I would just suggest that before gluing all of the pieces onto your foam base that you sew them all together so that if the glue starts to wear off and come apart it will still stay together for longer and you won't have to fix it up as often.

Heres a question. After I taped my foam base up that I made. The tape ripped the foam. :/ How do I prevent this?

To prevent the tape from ripping the foam you can either get a weaker tape or you can stick the tape piece that you are using onto your pants or carpet before putting it on your foam base so that it's not as sticky and will not rip it apart.

you could get a somewhat 'softer' tape, one that isn't as sticky. like, painting tape perhaps?

I'm making my first fursuit head and I was thinking that how does it look like when you fur it like this? Does it look as good as when you sew the pieces together?

hmmm, I heard that you fur a head by sewing it all together, and then slipping the fur onto the head and gluing it. I suppose this way would be simpler.

this is good, except for the part that u gotta turn the tape over sticky part up or u'll get a mirrored part that wont fit to its place if u cut if from the not-fur side.

This picture- THIS ONE RIGHT HERE, is what got me into fursuting. Someone had downloaded it and posted it on Ifunny, ever since then I've just been doing more and more research. At this point I have enough supplies to finish three fursuit heads and I'm almost done with my first. I have a lot to thank you for, how about a free commission?

Ooh, you should change the second to last step to sewing all the pieces together. Gluing all the fur on the head is bad unless you don't care that it falls apart within a year or two. For a longer-lasting head sewing all the pieces helps! ^w^

You're actually supposed to sew the pieces together before you glue them on the head. Otherwise you have glued seams.

You might add that it is sometimes VERY helpful to sew the pieces together. It creates a more seamless look.

Not neccisarily. There are times in which gluing creates less of a seam then actual sewing does.
I personally glue all my seams and rarely see the seams too bad.

I personally sew them and it shows less seams.
But making suits and deciding if you glue or sew is a matter of preference.

Yep.
I think as long as the suit looks nice, I could care less if seams are glued or sewn P:
