This is just wonderful!
The title fits the theme, he on the right side looks displeased that he has been caught, the one on the left side has a face which says that he knows, what the other is up to. It is also not clear, if he holds the mask to show a proof, or to hold it for taking. I notice that the fox spirit has a mask on his head with a fierce expression, could it be that it shows his anger about what the other has done? Another thing are the colours and the lighting, which are both marvelous, every shade has been crafted masterly. The image is full of depth and atmosphere, a feast for the eyes.

Thank you so much, your comment means so much to me. You are right, the right one got annoyed because she has been caught. For the left one, he actually was teasing her, like "here, why dont you take this one too then" look at his pinky finger, he is a little bit disgusted by her action but at the same time smirking at her (teasing). I am glad that the lightning worked, it is hard to manage lighting using watercolor, there are a lot of calculating before painting. i think this is the first time I paint lightning, a night scene using water color.

You're welcome!^^
This artwork is a joy to look at, it has so much substance and atmosphere.
Wow, didn't notice that detail before, but you're right, the hands silently tell also so much.
I think lighting has to be learned by watching over and over how it works in real life in order to master it, and here you did it.
And night scenes are the hardest to get right, because the shadows are so many and so nuanced (and every textile has a different one) that one has to know how they look.

Wow.
The light you captured is so well. Like a light bulb would shine in the middle of them. Great coloring!
