Description
This is the mask of Nala from musical "The Lion King" on Broadway. I made it for RusFurrence. The mask is about 300 grammes weight and more heavy than original mask from musical. But I still can use it. Yes, this girl made-up as panther is mePapier-mashe, painted with acrylic paints. About 2-2.5 weeks of work. Finished some days ago.

If you want to dance with your masks, they need to be about 100-200 grammes each, better not more (I can't really dance with mine ). I used elastic band to fix it on my head - one part come from left to right around the head, second part goes from the forehead (there are one more fastening that partly cover the forehead ) to the first part of elastic band. I'll try to make a photo of it tomorrow. Feel free to remind me if I'll forget it

Very neatness... I loved that show.
I'm curious, what did you use to paint your face with? I recently did myself as a tiger for halloween here using regular "face paints" from some store. Those gave a lot of contrast, but whatever you did, it seems to blend really well with your skin.

There are two types of make-ups - water soluble and liposoluble. Liposoluble may be more "professional", but I don't like it - it's difficult to draw details with it, difficult to wash it off, but easy to spoil what you drew already. Water soluble make-up is like a watercolours for skin. It became dry during the day and could spoil a little, but it's not so notisable But you can buy make-up that can't give any contrast even with black and white - this is a problem I don't know how to solve only to check up.

Это специальный водорастворимый грим. Правда, те наборы, которые я купила, оказывается плохо красятся, пришлось потом немного докрашивать.
