Description
Some of you already saw the sketch for this picture. And now I coloured it as promisedI know here're many mistakes with almost everything especially in background (please, don't argue against it ), but I can't spend more time on it.
The title is the name of the song from the series "The Raccoons".
Photoshop, many hours.

At the work I'm drawing for games, the link to one of them is in my journal. And I also want to take part in the cheetah contest (previous journal). Right now I'm painting the picture I started two months ago. Now I want to complete it and paint another picture for the calendar we're making for RusFurrence. I also have some toys for resculpting, unfinished plush and many unpainted Christmas ornaments

Just a firm that started to make games with it's main course - some digital equipment, don't know exactly.

I saw something about it on a TV show about video games. EA supposedly got in trouble for locking its employees in at night or something and digital chocolate was going on about how it dosen't treat it's employees like slaves. It was a long time ago when I saw it. I never wanted to be an artist or game desiginer for someone else anyway, but after hearing that about EA, it made me never want to be either one... at least for anyone else.

I only heard about it once. On that TV show, and it was years ago. BTW, what program do you use for your art?

May be it was a joke or misunderstanding
Sometimes Photoshop, sometimes Painter or both.

Like Corel Painter? I use Corel Painter Essentails 4 and Photoshop Elements 8.0. Sometimes I use Sumo paint but mostly for line art. It's a pain in the butt sometimes because you can't save things in photoshop formats like you can with photoshop ans corel.

Yes, Corel Painter. I use it mostly for line art and blending colours, but it often depends on my mood. The only thing I don't do in Painter is sketching. I don't understand how I can do it easy and quisk, just don't know all it's possibilities. It's much easy for me to draw this in Photoshop 7.0

I also want to draw with SAI, there's a good tool to blend colours. But I didn't try it much enough, so still can't draw a whole picture or even background.

RensMeerkat In reply to Kivuli [2011-10-17 13:12:25 +0000 UTC]
What's SAI? My biggest problem with my art though is I'm lazy and procrostinate. I've offered to take some requests and I wonder if I have bitten off more than I can chew with the first one. Something about me and another girl using chilli dogs to bribe Sonic to go the vet. I'll get it done eventualy. I have seven slots left for trades if you want anything. I've had to beg people to let me do a request for them. You think it would be the other way around. I want practice doing things for other people because I'm thinking about taking comissions.

Kivuli In reply to RensMeerkat [2011-10-17 20:18:02 +0000 UTC]
It's one more programm for drawing.
The other way is to make gifts for people. Sometimes they will not even say "thank you", but if you want just have a practice for yourself - it will be just for yourself
I don't do trades now, I have too many ideas to make as soon as I can and also think about taking commissions. But I still don't sure about payment system that would work properly here.

Yeah, they tell me if they want anything spefic and if it dosen't go against any of my conditions i.e. must be something G rated, I'll do it. I don't see why they wouldn't want me to upload it because as I said, I only do G rated stuff.

Yeah, I used to be really anal about who could or couldn't draw my fursona. I was even relucant to admit her actual species...technicaly she is a subspecies or breed, but I wouldn't go into much detail about it. Then I figured even if I don't go into detail, some unimaginative copy cat could "steal" her design anyway. And if someone were to "steal" her deisgn and I were to acuse them of theft, it would be hypocritacal because elements of my fursona, her braided tail tuft were inspired by someone else's fursona...

I took these marks from the real leopards, just make them more conventionalized. I think such marks, made of real marks of an animal looks not so bad

It's not about _what_ to draw, it's about _how_ to draw. And after that you could draw what you want, but it will looks like you want it. I had 2.5 years of studying at the university as an additional course, it helped me a lot, but I needed more.

I don't care. I simply do not draw people. i WENT TO an art class my paretns forced to to, claming I could incourerate the things I leanred how to do in the class into the stuff I wanted to do. Didn't happen. Maybe if they actualy taught me HOW to incourperate.

Some people really need that (like me - I couldn't draw characters from the animated movies, though I could draw animals at the class), some don't. But I still can see it helped me a lot, even if I learned something much later than I wanted. At the same time there're many courses for such things. And as for me I still think I could just ask my teacher if I wasn't so shy
