I can totally see this happening, and I accept both ships; I'm flexible and open to many ships.
Tails and Cosmo are cute, but before Cosmo, I have always shipped Tails with Cream because it made sense in a way.
They were kids and around the same age, they're friends and know each other well, been on adventures together, etc.
But I understand the Sega universe and AUs are diverse; I remember seeing this comic where Tails was with Mina Mongoose.
Anyways, as long as Tails' is happy, healthy, and in good relationship with a overall good and compatible person; I'm good. ^^
