Holy freaking Jeebus-facewall- This took way longer than I thought it would
Anyways, here is the completed species reference guide for Kitffins, a subspecies of Gryphons
Hnngh, these guys are so cute <333
I need to make adoptables of these guys now, because they are just that cute <3
Please note this is a closed species BUT you can get a custom made one from me for 15
Just say what species of bird you want it based off and I will gladly make it <3
Some other info on Kitffins:
-Kitffins can be found all around the globe, including Antarctica (though a majority of the ones down in the south pole are flightless). But, certain breeds live in certain areas such as tropical kitffins living in South America/Central America, Gulls and other water birds living on coastlines. Wherever a certain bird is, a kitffin breed of them is sure to exist
-Regardless of breed, all Kitffins are domestic. But, some tend to thrive better in the wild and become feral (but can easily be bred back into domestication over time)
-Age can range from the species of birds its based on. Some can live for a short time while others can live for multiple decades
-Each Kitffin has its own unique behavior. It can range from sweet and gentle, to cruel and blunt, to lazy and quiet. Again, its all based on what species of bird its based off of

The breed of the cat does not contribute to the kitffin!
If the bird you want is a small bird, it will be around the size of a small cat and if its a big bird, itll be based on a big cat.

The breed of the cat does not contribute to the kitffin
The only way a cat really contributes to the breed is if the bird that its based on is large or small.
Like if you want a big bird itll be based on a big cat and if its a small bird itll be based on a small cat.

Only the birds size the Kitffin is based on contributes to the animal

Well the duck part I can make, it's not really based on the at breed
The only way a breed really contributes is the size like if its a big bird it'll be the size of a big cat and if its a small bird then it'll be the size of a small cat

I hate to say it, but it needs to be said.
The idea of combining a cat and bird has been done many times, and making a species out of it, and selling customs is just ripping it off of everyday sort of thing...
It's unoriginal, and quite frankly a bit stupid.
I would pass along without a single bitter comment if only you said you didn't make them, and that they are generic species.
And not saying that they are a 'closed species'.
And well, I just don't want the uncomfortable situation where someone makes a cat-bird gryphon and someone who has seen this, thinking you made this completely, would have an all-out war with the by-stander.
I just don't want that to happen.
Plus if your in a cramp for points then design a pony, they're really in these days.
Or even design a cat-bird gryphon, just don't say these are your creation entirely.
It's like taking a cat design that isn't yours and changing the color or adding horns, and saying you made it all by yourself...
Please, do consider.

Im not saying that the entire species belongs to me
Im just saying that the species Ive created is just in a specific guideline
For example, Shadowcats
Ive seen tons of duplicates out there long before shadowcats have even been created.
And taking a cat design and adding horns and all that stuff is pretty much what a majority of species creators make.
I mean honestly, how many animals species out there have you seen that look entirely the same?

Shadow cats are not as generac as putting together a cat and bird.
