Description
I'm slowly and painfully working on creating the original theme song for Danny Phantom. Really slowly sadly. I'm currently stuck at 12 seconds even though the youtube video is at 10 so I have improved since I put it up! That's something isn't it?www.youtube.com/watch?v=J3ZjyWβ¦

If you're doing something that's already been animated and shown to the public than you're lucky. I'm working off story boards and sharpie notes from Butch himself that where originally done back in 2002 (or 3?) either way, pre-air date. It's soooo annoying cause the DNA sequence he originally wanted takes more than two and a half seconds to play through so I had to break down and use the one from the show.
I can't wait to see yours, and thanks for the luck, I need it.

Hey, some help: remember that for every action there is always a reaction. So like where he's lifting up one arm, the other arm is going to move to compensate for the motion and to keep balance. You can see in the original that his left shoulder goes up as his right arm is raising, As well as his head a side, all for balance. I know, it means drawing him a bunch more, but practice makes perfect (as much as I hate that cliche). But really, I love his hand, you captured his movement and the reaction back very well! (wow, I never noticed there was only three frames for his hand raising....) Sorry, studying the small clip. Don't you love the mind's ability to see motion when in reality it's just pictures flashed so quickly in front of the eye that the mind believes it's moving? Keep at it, you've got talent. Have you ever had classes?

Awesome, glad you had a class, real teachers can actually teach it a whole lot better than I can. (not my gift *shrug*)Β
A bit of movement in his hips as well. Since Danny's shoulder line bounces so does his hips.

I'm still working on it! Give me time. I'm working on the part (if you've seen the story board or animanic) where the three ghost globs circle and pass the screen with Danny following so I've passed the DNA part as of now. This week I was hoping to work on it but my Aunt took this week off so we've been out of the house most of the week

I hate to sound cliche but practice does make perfect. Actually a way to help you practice to get it to look like the show, go frame by frame of any given scene and draw it with the model in front of you. That always helps me.
