Never understood why trixie HAD to take off the amulet, if she was more derpy-like in thought processing, she could've at least prevented her downfall even if both amulets can't work together.

A clarification on your wording: "reference" usually means you took an image, and used it as a reference to draw your own version. If you "used" the image directly, it's not a reference

lol one can speculate, as you see, I went with the most unoriginal possibility (affecting pegasis' wings)

I was thinking of maybe advance weather control, mastery of flight, magic usage for Pegasi as well as affecting wings. As for Earth ponies, maybe Super strength, usage of magic, able to grow anything at the tip of the hat for Earth ponies.
I think Derpy's a little too simple minded for corruption, don't you?
