It's a bit of a parody. This is my character Jessica, who discovers that one of her ancestors was in fact a mermaid and has inherited some of those merish traits. She can turn back and forth between human and a mermaid form (though she prefers being human).

Our town's beach lost its green flag status this year, so it's a bit of a mickey-take. But it really is a lovely beach, if you ignore all the people...
