Ahhhh such a cute picture to drawwI just love this movie too much
I knew it would be a challenge to get everything right, but I love a good challenge!
Anyways what's not to love about these two? I had no trouble staying up late adding the finishing touches

I gotta say I was really thinking about going to see this at the cinemas, but unfortunately time has been against me as of late. Just another thing I’m gonna catch up on, out of the hundreds already in my path…
Anyway, this is a really good example of using monochrome pencils to give the characters life. I have to admit, upon first seeing this, I thought Baymax was actually part of the paper being so white… Interesting to see how just a few lines and maybe a bit of charcoal here or there completely brings him into focus.
And as for Hiro, seeing him perched on top of Baymax’s shoulders not only expresses the sheer difference in size, but also makes it clear that there’s a great friendship and trust between the master and his creation… though I’d be a bit concerned if he couldn’t program that into his robot.
There’s a fair bit of detail to find for a lack of materials, especially in his creased clothing and running shoes. This brings me to believe there’s some impressive shading, form and degrees of light and dark on display here. The hair also looks nicely done, for the most part. Easy for me to say that you’ve done well on this work. Please keep it up.

Haha yes, unfortunately hair is one of the things I need to practice sketching. But I'm glad I did manage to give Baymax just enough shading so you can tell he's there!

I'd certainly wouldn't rush on practising hair technique, at any rate. It works for this drawing, at the very least.
