Description
I think my most favorite thing about Rogue One, aside from *spoilers* Vader's killing spree on those rebels *spoilers* was them showing what his castle looks like. And it tuns out that it's on Mustafer form what I had learned.Related content

I still need to see this movie. But alas, Army base movie theaters are 2nd rate. *Le sigh*

Cool! In terms of secret bases, Grievous secret base is ditto compare to Vader's fiery fortress.

Something about the version in the film was off, I don't think Mustafar looked enough like how it appears in Clone Wars or Revenge of The Sith. Maybe there is an in-canon explanation, which I hope someone like Pablo Hidalgo will address. The artwork itself is great, it's hard to really compare to a still from the film. Since at the time I'm writing this Rouge One is not out in home media yet. Much like anything new to the franchise, I think about it and then ask, 'where was this thing in [insert film, comic or TV series]'. They couldn't have introduced it in the Vader comics? it would have made some sense The Executor and Death Star II were not finished, so where else could Vader mediate. I have only read the first 12 issues, so you can please notify if they address it in the later, the Vader mediate factor that is.

What? You're upset that the entire planet doesn't look the exact same?
The first time in Star Wars canon history that we see that different parts of the same planet look different should be cause for celebration. Entire planets just consisting of one look is almost silly. They've gotten away with it over the years because, well, it's Star Wars. But it's fantastic that they're finally showing diversity in landscape on a single planet. I hope we see it a lot more in the future.

But according to Lucasfilm it's supposed to be close to the location where Vader was burned alive. The way the planet landscape looks In Rouge One does not add up. Is it a different season on Mustafar? Did The Empire interfere with the landscape? Did The Empire make it rain, turning part of the lava to rock? I need an answer.

What if Vader almost died at night? Then no wonder it's so bright out there in Rogue One - it would just be daytime.

During the duel on Mustafar, it was completely dark, right? Then it might have been nighttime.

Not anymore, Mustafar is the new official setting of his castle, remember, everything from the old EU is no longer canon since Disney took over the franchise.

Makes me wonder why Vader would put a castle on the planet where he killed his wife, fought his master, and above all where he was horribly burned and disfigured?
