Story:
He was born into a clan that owned a very well known and powerful merchants guild. They were all very talented in their crafts and skill in business. Meki was about the only one who lacked the talent and interest in craftsmanship and managing business respectively. He is however very materialistic and loves to bargain.
After his older brother, who was the clan leader, died of a grave illness; as the next immediate heir, Meki was to assume the responsibility of being the next head of the clan. Not being one to particularly like business management and taking on great responsibilities, he ran away from home in disguise, and changing his surname to whatever he saw first when he was once asked for his name. (He saw a frog.)
Because of his refusal to return home, his clan decided that he was nothing but a failure and disgrace to his own family and disowned him and considered him dead. Strangely enough, he didn't mind and was even satisfied with the decision. His cousin became the next clan leader as the oldest of his 3 younger brothers was still much too young.
After this, he left his home town and decided to start traveling. On his journey he met one of the people who would be one of his closest friends and had been traveling and hunting treasure with him ever since.
He was forced to join the SDL to gain some money he owes after an "unfortunate" incident at a Ramen shop.

Battle:
As a child, while his brothers were all perfecting whatever craft they were talented in, Meki, who had no talent for such things, often hung out in the place where most of their guards spend their free time. While there, he learned to wield weapons and became quite skilled with them. He is very talented in using any hand held weapon, but fails at any kind of projectile weapons. He's best at using a sword, but prefers to use a polearm. He believes that one shouldn't put too much in just one battle. There'll always be other days where you'll have other battles to win, he says. Because of this belief, he often resorts to tricks when things get tough. He wouldn't call it trickery though; he prefers to call it 'resourcefullness' and being clever.

Attitude and Habits:
Materialistic, energetic. A happy person. He loves to annoy people. Hates Ramen. Tries to be polite, but can be very blunt at times and rather slow at realizing what people mean, especially the word 'NO'. He loves stuff, especially small knick-knacks which he prefers to keep in his robe. These include small gems, figurines, other useless junk, anything shiny, herbs, medicines, and poisons. And if anything catches his eyes, he'll do his best to bargain for it and have the item for himself. He's also quite the homophobe. Just for lulz. 8D
