Description First light of the day hits Longs Peak in Rocky Mountain National Park. Below, in the valley, the sounds of Elk bugling was like music to my ears. Standing here, watching this unfold is akin to heaven.

Towering at 14,259 feet high, it is said that the climb to the top of the peak was probably first done by pre-Columbian indigenous people collecting eagle feathers. Pretty amazing to think that.

In camera HDR on my Sony a550, using a Minolta 18-200mm lens, Fotodiox CPL and GND , along with my tripod.

I hope you all like it
John

Looks like your technique/filters are coming together. Really natural...good work. Would take a bit off the bottom to get those trees as your botom anchors as the last 1" or so seems unnecessary. Nice catch sir

Going. Even with the increased overhead of having a physical space my weekly numbers do not need to be that high so doing alright right now. Everyone keeps waiting for me to blow up. Guess it's only a matter of time. Signage should go up next week which hopefully will help. Good to see the work on the walls though. Need to photograph the gallery properly and post a pic

14,259 feet ...

I love the contrast between the mountain range itself and the scrubby brush below; it's like two entirely different worlds.
