Beaver Meadows feels the first rays of sunlight in Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado just after sunrise. This is a photograph that up until this past January I wouldn't have been able to capture but thanks to my surgery I am now finally able to get to the places I have long wanted to photograph. This photograph for me is a personal milestone and one which exemplifies my own personal struggle & fight. It was a very personal and moving experience as I stood here with my tripod clicking the shutter. In a sense, it was dawn at the beginning of a new day, both for me and in the literal sense. I loved the way a slight frost was coating the ground as summer began to battle with fall and how the first rays of sunlight cast a glow over the landscape and against the trees. hard to beat this sort of beauty!
