Description
In The EveningI couldn\'t sleep, to damn hot, so I figured I would get up and process some of the shots I took last night at Washington Park in Denver of the sunset. This is one of those shots. Quite a gorgeous evening last night, a lot of people out, heck even had a Bagpipe band. I would have stayed longer if I hadn\'t been sick lol Thoughts welcomed and print to come!
Shot info:
Minolta 5D
Minolta 18-200 DT Lens
Dynatran 8180 Tripod
Singh-Ray CPL
Raw Processed and put thru HDR in Photomatix

I couldn't keep up with everything until I did this. If you check my journal, there's a link at the bottom to the full idea behind it. ^_^

I am gonna have to adopt this I think, it just seems like an especially good idea, and one I certainly wouldn't mind by a long shot

I see...
Hard to get that kind of photos if you don't do them hdr I guess.
Haven't got to experiment with HDR myself yet, hope to learn some day thoe. I mena, the resault on every HDR I have ever seen is fantastic. Is it hard?

Ok.
I'll have to spend some time on google to search for tutorials, just so I can get some pointers of what to think of and basic techniques.
Pease!

This is great - what is this Photomatix you are using? I have noticed quite a few deviants out there using this...

Thanks for the link. I just read the tutorial and have a couple questions: Can't the same thing be done in PS CS2? Is it really necessary to invest in Photomatix? I really love this approach and will most likey buy it if I have to...

kkart In reply to now-voyager [2007-08-09 15:32:36 +0000 UTC]
yes it can be done in cs2 Though Photomatix I think is easier

I just tried an end run with a pic - opened a raw file with four different exposures... It's tricky stuff, but I think I will get the hang of it eventually. Are there any forums for people who are just learning this?
