Description
The Tree Of LifeFor once, I am going to say much about this shot and just let the song lyrics below speak to the message I am trying to convey with this photograph.
---John
Tanya Tucker-Strong Enough To Bend
There's a tree out in the backyard
That never has been broken by the wind
And the reason its still standing
It was strong enough to bend
For years, we have stayed together
As lovers and as friends
What we have will last forever
If we're strong enough to bend
When you say something that you can't take back
Big wind blows and you hear a little crack
When you say "Hey well I might be wrong"
You can sway with the wind till the storm is gone
Sway with the wind till the storm is gone
Like a tree out in the backyard
That never has been broken by the wind
Our love will last forever
If we're strong enough to bend
When you start thinkin' that you know it all
Big wind blows and a branch will fall
When you say "Hey this job takes two"
We can sway with the wind till the skies turn blue
Sway with the wind till the skies turn blue
Like a tree out in the backyard
That never has been broken by the wind
Our love will last forever if we're strong enough to bend
Our love will last forever if we're strong enough to bend.

There was a tree in the pasture in front of our house where I grew up. When I saw this picture, I could have sworn this was it. It's exact - all the way to the fence in the background. Thank you for the picture, and the memory and tears.

Nice photography, but i think this tree of life needs a bit more "life". What do you think?

The colours in this one really create a nice atmosphere together with the light and the black tree

Dude I didn't see this in my inbox for some reason! It's phenomenal! I just looks like there is a slight blending problem around the trunk of the tree, from top to bottom. Or is that just me? I love the tones, my friend. Awesome composition. Those storm clouds look foreboding!

Ya know, it is odd Drew, I never once thought I would ever get the attention I do now, ever, on here. I used to sit and think how some of the super popular deviants did it 3 and 4 years ago, and how they actually handled it with all the comments, and how their message centers must be busting.

John, how do you manage to always get the right shot at the right time? The sun shining and the rain moving out, this shot is very beautiful and at the same time lonely. Good pick on the song.

Beautiful...I've always loved the way the skelatal naked branches of a bare tree look against the sky.
