Description V3.1.1 is release. This version is a minor but really needed update, I've remade the scripts for tilesets and maps to work better, now the game will be working better and with more fps than before, also I've added as a little feature a modification to the Xtransceiver script, now you can use variables as names (for rivals for example) using \\v[variable].
Before update, make sure you've saved in a .txt or something your Xtransceiver conversations because the update will modify the scripts.

Changelog:
*Remade Spriteset_Map script for work better.
*Remade CustomTilemap script for work better.
*Added function for show variables as name in Xtransceiver.

I'm sure the kit will still have bugs that nobody has found yet, betatesters did an amazing work but we're humans! I've fixed most of the known bugs (or that's what I think, I've looked too much things and maybe I forgot something but I don't think so), and added the new functions. If you find a bug, report it please.

How to update
Download the update from your version and extract it in your game root folder.

Hey man ! Love your pack ! I tried to add the 6th gen pokemon in and everything is fine until I try to go on the third page of the pokedex (forms tab) I get this error

Hey. I installed the file but i'm getting an error. "RPGSS102J.dll could not be found". I installed the program on steam so I should have everything. And the normal Pokemon Essentials file works fine. Know a fix for this?

Klein I have been like editing my indoor tileset and adding stuff from your 5th gen one though I noticed that some of the tiles have missing parts by that I mean like a whiteish color to some of the tiles like if someone went on GIMP and used the color pick to delete that sole color from the tileset and I'm thinking it is kind of white (the color) because I put white on one of the tiles and it kind of fit but not perfectly. I also searched in the download for the tileset but the Indoor tileset in the download is also the same.

Klein Nice work indeed. I have a question, Do you know where I can download the Sprite Pack from Black and white but static? Im trying to use them because I can see the whole back in the pokemon in opposite to Default ones from essentials. If there isn´t any ty anyways. Keep up the good work!

Sorry to bother you again, Klein is just that I got this error and it looks like it is for the phenomenos part. This is happening because of the Pokemon Follower script and I was thinking that since it says old I would like to know if there was anyway to make the pheno update. Is either that or take out the phenomenos which I don't know how unless I take the script to another game and make a lot of work.

To take out the phenomenos you only need to delete the script (can't remember the name right now but it was something related to "phenomeno"), does it works good without the following script?

I was going to use the essentials version 16.1 but I noticed that it would take more time. So I just need to find the phenomeno script and take it out. It works fine without the following script.

Found the Phenomeno script, also I had take out the water bubbles script and now I get this even though I call the follower update after the transfer.

Don't worry about this anymore I decided that I will instead just use the normal essentials and add your scripts to it and others. Although I still need to find a script for how the name of the map appears like in your bw essentials the name of the map comes out with 2 white parts.

Klein if I want to use just the basic battle intro from the essentials kit not the animated trainers what scripts do I have to change since I'm using fourth gen sprites I just want to use trainers that are not animated.

Hmm, I think you don't need to modify anything, just place the not animated sprites

Well I have this problem that I added a trainertypes.txt file for fourth gen trainers, however it didn't change the trainer types it still has the same as the old trainer types txt so now I have to arrange all the trainers to the same number that there are in the editor's since it is the editor that has the old trainertypes.txt information although I replaced it. If this can be solved I would just have to worry about resizing the trainers. Here is were I got the stuff reliccastle.com/forums/showthr…

I just added the trainer sprites but they appeared too big that's why the 4th gen roughneck guy had his head chop off >.<

Can you give an option to only have 1 screen instead of 2 and an option to change the screen size?

Sorry but that can't be done, the interface is the BW interface and needs two screens to work

Yep, the horizontal thing is something I want to do for the next version.

Hey I found out the way to make the screen bigger and that's nice but it gets extremely laggy. Anyway I can avoid this? Because I also wanted to take out the second window but you said it wouldn't work without it.

And yes, the kit is scripted to work with two screens, if you want a single screen use a clean Essentials

I found a somewhat frequent error that seems to occur when an NPC tries to switch out a Pokemon. I am not sure if this is an error on my end or with PEBW or just the original Pokemon Essentials - I'll paste it here just in case since I can't seem to find anyone else posting similar errors to this on the web. It doesn't actually do anything, the error shows up but the game continue as normal and the AI just loses a turn.

Very very odd, I think it can be a problem with the edited battle system but I'll check in a clean Essentials too.
Since I want to rework the entire battle system for next version that should be fixed, thanks for the bug report, every report helps me to make the kit better

Thank you so much for looking over it, I was worried I would annoy you by spamming you every glitch I came across because I realize it could just be my fault! That being said even the original Essentials has a bit of a broken battle system because I was playing the tutorial demo while learning how to use it and I ran across several battle glitches...

I found another error but I'm not sure what's causing it. I very rarely get this in a cave encounter but it's basically this:

Script ‘AnimatedBitmapWrapper’ line 542: NoMethodError occured.

Undefined method ‘bitmap’ for nil:NilClass

I first thought it was because of a missing image file of the wild Pokemon and when I looked at the encounters PBS file I saw I had left in a Bulbasaur whose image I deleted. So I changed that and thought it would fix the issue but it still seems to be happening. The game crashes but when people resume playing after loading they have no problem afterwards. Still it's a bit strange.

This isn't a glitch but a question, do you know how to let people choose the screen resolution? Original Essentials had this but I'm a bit scared to tinker with a script I'm still not experienced in modifying.

I'm looking forward to the next version - when do you anticipate it to be released? Would it be possible to transfer old projects made on V3.1.1 to the new version? Thanks so much again!

I'm so sorry I didn't have time to reply to this before, I actually don't know what is causing the error since has been a while since I do not touch Essentials but I'll try to recreate and fix it for new version.
Can't give a date but I hope soon, maybe during the summer. And sure, you will be able to transfer the project quickly

Do you plan on adding the trainer sprites from BW2, that weren't in BW 1, e.g the Gym leaders and other trainers in the Pokemon World Tournament? I have found the sprites on Spriters Resource but don't know how to up-scale them to the correct size.
