Finally! After working on this for like two months, I finally finished it!
Ok, there is a total of ten (10) pages of this, all drawn in chibi, except for two panels. You'll see afterwards. In any case, this little comic is to explain the difference between Shounen-ai and Yaoi, since a lot of people mix these two up a lot. I've done a lot of research before doing this so I have full confidence in what I say here.

I don't know where you found infos like "shounen ai comes from the word bishounen" or "shota is a subgenre of yaoi", but they're totally false. :/ Seriously.
Shota has nothing to do with yaoi or bara, it's a completely different genre and it contains heterosexual OR homosexual stuff involving prepubescent boys.
Shounen ai does definitely not come from bishounen! Shounen ai means literally "boys love".:/

Look at the dates... the info here is from 2006. I got them from several manga/anime sources of the time, both books as well as internet. It would be natural if things changed over the years, as the concept of manga and anime changed as well.
On a sidenote, shotacon involves a younger usually childlike character and an older one. It could be qualified as paedophilia.
And yes, shounen-ai does come from bishounen as bishounen means "beautiful boy". Or have you ever seen ugly ass dudes making out in mangas... I surely haven't.

even in 2006 the shota genre was the same. It contained young boys/children but they could have sax with a woman, a loli, another shota or a men. I still don't see the relationship with yaoi.

I'm questioning whether you read the whole thing I wrote or just part of it... I said I got my sources from books about the anime cult. But like I said, have it your way, I don't give a fuck, I got better things to do than argue over a japanese genre that involves guys making out.
