I'm actually really proud of this piece. Every single thing I drew was all me. Didn't look up a pose, did the bg by myself. And I think it's super cute. Daddy Kion and Athene were super close before he left. In this pic Athene's about the age everything went down with her mom and Kion. I was going to make it a sweet sunlit daytime pic but I thought the storm would kinda foreshadow the "storm" (fight) to come between the parents. Kion really loved his little girl. I'm thinking about drawing a short comic of Kion/Zuri/Athene Drama, and show their relationship together. Would you guys be interested in that? We'd also see the royal children as young cubs (more Dhuru <3) some Kovu/Kiara/Nyara interaction and more. I'm psyching myself up ^^ It would kinda be a prequel to NP
