Description
the Mighty Hercules and Young Sampson are snatched away from their respective times in a flash of light. They materialize inside cramped transparent containers that resist their attempts to smash free. There are even more containers in the room they find themselves in; what is going on?

a curious alien creature descends from a raised console nearby and walks around the containers, observing their attempts to escape. It seems quite pleased with their strength and powers even if they seem ineffective.

'Strong.' it says in it's alien hollow voice.

Hercules and Sampson holler at the creature, demanding their release. It looks at them dispassionately.

'Preservative.' it says in a commanding voice.

Suddenly a thick, gelatinous ooze starts gushing out of the holes in the top of the containers. Rapidly filling the containers and covering Hercules and Sampson in sticky slime, but somehow it's also somewhat buoyant and the two heroes' attempts to break free are further hampered by them floating in the goo. Something about the goo is making both of them sleepy. So sleepy. Hard to fight. Hard to think.

'W-why are you doing this?' Young Sampson stammers as he struggles to stay conscious.

The alien turns and watches the slime fill their tanks, and just before they cease struggling and loose consciousness it again says a single word:

'Slaves.'
