Guys, the show shouldn't be about love interests, period.
Most of us got into the show from Season 1, we ENJOYED it so much we made it grow, and why? Because the show was like an open canvas that explored other possibilities that no other show did.
But now that we see it fall to cliches like high school crushes and such, it really feels like BETRAYAL. In the end, there are many shows with "Flash Sentry's" out there, but I don't watch them. I respect the people that are into it, but that's NOT why I got into the fandom at all. So please, we don't need a Flash Sentry to make the show enjoyable, it's no an inevitable thing either, it's causing turmoil and doesn't focus on how we used to be before, a community that grouped together out of friendship.

I think I can figure out why some people would hate Flesh Sentry on a couple of accounts:
(Bear in mind: I don't like the guy, but I'm not of those EXTREME RAGERS!!!11!!!)
* Flash/Brad's your standard fairy taleΒ prince charming in shining armor.
Β - That kind of character has been done to the grave, and even some of the O.C.s that pair up with Twilight are the same as well.
Β - Brad is even the most clichΓ©d character as well in any High school drama: He's handsome, plays guitar very well, awkward, and FULLY LOADED TO BOOT! I MEAN, HOW CAN HE PAID FOR THAT CUSTOM CAR, NEW MIND YOU, AND HAVE HIS MARK ON THE HOOD TOO! I can see why the girls love him...
* What I have read from a couple of sites, Lauren Faust did say that she didn't wantΒ some of theΒ characters to have a L.I., because that idea would led down the path like most other T.V. shows and movies.
Β - Having a L.I. can also be a weakness as well, example: Kim Possible Movie: So the Drama.
* Twilight/Flash shipping is the hardest thing to sort out and even more difficult to example as well...
Β - I mean it... PONY Twilight loves HUMAN Flash, so does that mean that if Twi see's PONY Flash, she'll think they are one of the same?
* What happens if Flash sentry already has a girlfriend and NOT the evil typeΒ too?
Β - It could happen.
* Since Equestria Girls is set in a High school setting, everyone would automatically hate the movie and the characters too.
Β - The whole High school thing has been over done in every Cartoon/Anime/Manga/Story/Movie/Comic/Music/ANYTHING that the ideaΒ is buried all the way to the Earth's core.
Those are some of my thoughts on why most of the hate is on Flash (And some of my problems as well), but that doesn't mean I want him dead. He needs more development and time as well. I mean, meeting Twilight for a couple seconds or minutes and BOOM! They are bothΒ already madly in love with eachother!?
