Big mac is the most boring character in MLP:Fim. I wonder why guys so adore him - is it because they are not able to speak long sentences just like him? Because he did nothing to be admired for from girl's point of view. Flash on the other hand helped Twilight several times and I would have more problems with the way his script was written than his sole existence, which is very pleasing to me. I don't like the way he looks in EQG form but his pony self is simply worth the love. Only other male pony that I like this much is Braeburn. Both talk smoothly, seem entertaining and kind.
Discord is a different category for me.

I honestly don't care about Spike, Discord is my most disliked and hated character in the show and Big Mac is imo, bland and boring but I can list my other favorite male characters likeΒ King Sombra, Shining Armor, Fancy Pants and Bulk Biceps.

I'm fine with having him around as a background gag character. The show format being what it is, the odds of the writers and producers going for an actual Twilight-Flash romance are roughly equal to Rainbow Dash being outed as gay.
