Being honest, I refuse to see Equestria Girls.Β After I looked at the concept art, synopsis, extended synopsis, trailers, video clips, listened to the songs, etc..., I just couldn't stomach the movie.Β Flash I can't stand and it would be nice if Equestria Girls and MLPFIM were two totally separate things.Β O well, I'll just wait for the "Rainbow Power" thing to set in and it'll erase that from my mind temporarily.

That's understandable, but I made sure to look at everything available before I made my final judgment.Β Even with the movie freely available on Youtube and people streaming it on Fridays, I just can't bring myself to watch it.Β The designs look horrible; the script it all too reminiscent of your typical HS TV drama.Β I would say about the only thing that even caught my eye before I shrugged it off was Satan Shimmer's transformation sequence.Β
For some individuals, this is just my "dumb/stupid/idiotic" opinion, but I believe Equestria Girls was 75% written, designed, and made by Hasbro.Β The other 25% was pawned off on DHX to tweak, tune, fix, and mess with to give it some kind of "flavor."Β
Not even Bender's "confident spice" could make me watch that show.Β To each their own however.Β

It's the new commercial with the "Rainbow Ponies" thing.Β Twilight is sporting her old crown, none of the mane6 have their necklaces, and all of them have some freaky color job.Β I would have to find a link, but someone from Hasbro or DHX said the concept will be worked into the show.Β
This is just my take on it, but I'm waiting for a "reverse" captain planet where "by my powers as Princess Twilight Sparkle," the other mane6 transform into rainbow ponies.Β That Rainbow Rocks thing is for the second Equestria Girls movie I believe.Β I don't hold high hopes for it.Β I would like to see some good, oldschool hard rock stuff.Β I'm sad to say that what we may get in that Rainbow Rocks Equestria Girls thing is some new age pop-rock music.Β *shivers*

Flash Sentry being included in the series practically makes EQG canon. Which is something we were promised was not true and would never happen. Even those of us who liked EQG generally don't want that.
Then there's the Twilight waifu cults.
Then the anti-shippers.
