Bloody thing took me about twelve hours CGing. The entire background was drawn completely with Photoshop 7. 20 layers ... God!Okay, basically I love Tseng so I drew him after Sephy stabs him. Hee!
Much love and thanks to all those who have stayed with me while I have littered my DA page with updates on this piece.
And wow, I really sound stupid right now. Must sleep.

I don't believe he does. Rather, I've never read it anywhere or ever heard it referenced. I honestly always thought Tseng was probably his last name and the only one anyone knew.

Pretty good composition, and good use of SUBTLETY with the blood, as opposed to the liberal splatters many people use. The main problem is the placement of the ear. With that head angle, the ear should be closer in.

The background is simply amazing. You have the patience of a SAINT. >> SAINT RUFUS~
The doves are an excellent touch. Tseng looks so sweet, so peaceful, as he dies. It tugs on various heartstrings from the bittersweet-ness of this piece.

Go to "save as copy" ... since PS is usually evil and won't let you simply save as a .jpg
Oh yes, and be sure to flatten all the layers and such before doing any resizing, otherwise it'll not turn out as clean looking.

Just play around in PS and you should be able to find the different options. Most of what I know was self taught, trial and error and such.

Lovely job per usual. I esp. like what you did with the foremost hand; I know it's blood but it gives it a really creepy 3-D effect. The birds in the BG are a nice touch too. The only thing I'd mention is that maybe the hands should be more clenched or something. After all, he didn't die RIGHT after Sephy stabbed him so he would still have been in agonizing pain. ...Also, it sorta looks like he's playing a piano... *giggles* But maybe that's just me.~~

oh wow this is pretty cool... the blood looks awesome... i dont know where the heck it came from because the Masaumune doesn't draw blood...maybe Sephiroth shot him at the same time or something.....xD but still i loves it fackin awesome!

Masamune doesn't draw blood? -blink- That's a first ... as there were blood trails in the game when Sephiroth inflitrated the ShinRa building as well as on the ship from Junon. I know there wasn't any blood with Aeris was killed, but that was always attributed to lack of realism in the FMVs.
In any case, glad you liked this piece.

good memory...maybe he killed them all by using Fira or somethin and their firey corpses went everywhere....then stuck his sword through them...or something! but yeah read the story of the masamune it doesnt draw blood

... hmm ... well, Tseng bled to death. If Masamune cauterized the wound, he wouldn't have, ne. Because a direct wound would have killed him almost instantly ... most stab wounds prove fatal because of bloodloss.
And was this an actual Square released document, or was it a fan speculation ... because as far as fan speculation goes, I could run around and say that Tseng was still alive if Masamune didn't draw blood and ran off with Rufus -who somehow escaped certain death when his office exploded- to Costa Del Sol. -snickers-

Almost everything in FF gamesi is based on an older referance like a lot of summons are basedon norse mythology and the masamune is an old tale about how a guy created two swords... i cant remember everything about it but i thikn there was masamune and montanume or somethin like that... im try to remember the details but i do remember that masamune did not draw blood.....maybe squaresoft slipped xD...cause yes therei s also the scene in shinra tower... everyone is dead and blood is draped everywhere... my buddy had a book with that story of the masamune in it... if he can find it ill get the right story

No, no. That's fine. I study mythology ... and when it comes to Final Fantasy just because something has the same name does not equate that it is that. Take Shiva for instance, in Hindi he is the god of destruction. In FF, she is the guardian of ice magic.

yeah thats true.....i still like my idea on if its just not messy enough for sephiroth's liking he will just flick the switch and bam... special effects of blood...and such.... but yes after your bulletproof defense it does draw blood in the game and the technology wasnt great enough to animate it... oh well an awesome game is an awesome game!

Yes, the dot. We're always trying to figure out exactly what it is/stands for. My best friend and I have assessed that it's some Wutaian religious symbol that he has tattooed on, but would rather remain evasive as to the true reason of the dot in our arc of fanfics.
