The delectable aromas wafted in like the tides on open moonlit shores.
Kasumi turned, ecstatic over the fact that this was the first time in decades she got to not only see him, but spend quality (if not fleeting) time with Toshinori.
"Can we get some Onigiri, pretty please?"
'Ah, there's that smile...' Toshinori affectionately pondered. For a brief,quiet moment his thoughts turned to guilt.
If he hadn't sent her away to become an interrogator then things would have turned out for better sooner rather than later.
His guilt was soon pushed & shaken off to one side again when hegazed at her 'quiet smile' -which he had always believed was reserved just for him since they were young.
"Sure" Toshinori replied back finally motioning her towards the onigiri store, much to Kasumi's delight.
