I too am hoping for a sequel. IMDB says the title is 'Prisoners of the Sun' and it's due 2016. Tee hee, not only will they go after the treasure, but they're gonna meet Professor Calculus. At least, they better put him in the sequel because they can't find the treasure without his help.

Very well made. A sequel seems more doubtful now that Tintin didn't do amazingly and now that Peter Jackson is fully busy with the Hobbit movies.
