My intention with this image was to leave the viewer wondering whether the child was found in this state or if the main figure mistakenly fired upon the child in the dark....either way I wanted to convey deep sorrow and emotion.Β

Thank you Mike. This piece grew from the pose of the primary figure. My original idea was a bowing knight...in front of royalty but as I worked on it the feel was off and this was the result.
