Submitting this to a contest about the horrors of big tobacco.

I actually was inspired by a lot of the death I kept hearing about in developed nations. We don't have to deal with the atrocities of war much like we do with cancer and obesity. This piece is all about the anxiety of thinking too much about negative things. The blackness definitely represents the tar and cracked earth we've made for ourselves in the modern city, and in a way it looks very diseased and cancerous like smokers lungs...

Thank you, he is a big influence. I aim to have my own personal biomechanical style though, not just imitate him.

Definitely, His imagery is an interesting and really original way to represent the hideousness of man being obsessed with technology and the easy way out.

That's how I see I mean.

Thank you very much! I've been taking a break from this to do some more nature inspired work.

I usually have periods of different artistic goals, it's nice to come back to this style when I've been away from it for a while, it turns into something really interesting

I bet when you go back to either the nature inspired work of this; you come up with brand new ideas; due to tthe change, just from that tiny break.

The pure ability to convey the strains of the horrendous consumption;...A nightmare that is the beautiful vista,...Incredible.

man this is insanity.
an effective way of conveying the dark side of tobacco.
debatable whether there's any other side i guess.
you should definitely be a contender.

nice work.

It should apply to anything related to death and disease, and yes tobacco has a lot of that associated with it. Even something like the smell makes me think of dark thoughts.

Sweet. Glad this one's back up.
I sympthasize with what you're saying too. People are constantly inflicting harm on themselves little by little until it blows up in their faces, and all they ever say to me is "well, you only live once".
What a poor excuse to live a poor life.

Which is a shame because it's possible to enjoy the things in life with moderation, but for some reason a lot of the things we consume can get addictive and people lose their control...

I agree with you but such behavior is not accidental. Thry can't blame anyone for being fooled because we live in an age of information. Added with common sense, it's just induvidual choices that lead us.
