my first deviation!'L' aka. 'ryuuzaki'

from Death Note
feels good to be drawing again. i owe my renewed inspiration to *buraisuko .
L is my favorite character from the manga. i tried to make him look 'cute', but after coloring he looks more like the pervert Misa accuses him of being... oh well.

wow that sofa is just gorgeous, the detail on the sofa make it my favorite part of the picture. The colorings makes me wish i could actually use photoshop effectively. I don't know much of the character but the scene reminds me of the part where you find Harry dead on the sofa in Silent Hill 3.

Wow.. such a forlorn look in the eyes, but strangely at peace and relaxed! You did the eyes very well! The pose and perspective are very well done too. I especially like the way you captured the chair and the seams on the edges to give it a sense of depth. I especially like the lighting detail you put on his toes!! *applause!*

thank you very much for the complement on his toes! i didn't use any references for this and feet are actually one of the most difficult things for me to draw...(i actually drew his feet twice!) i tried to get my roommate to model his toes for me but she wouldn't let me

aww L looks so gentle with his cup 'o coffee in this picture. nice soft coloring, and that sofa. omigoodness that sofa, i want to sit on it, it looks so comfy. excellent shading on the sofa and his pants. :]

The texturing you were able to get on the chair is astounding, considering it is just straight brushwork and digital no less. I was blown away when I first say this. Amazing must run in your family. Adopt me *tries to look cute* ! either that or a blood transfusion would also be accepted.
