After slightly blurring the linework of my Ciri piece to get a softer look, I wondered how it might look if I took that effect to the extreme and upped the blur factor from 4.96 to 20. These experiments -- what I like to call "the Shrinky Dink Effect" -- are the result. As you'll notice, I think the effect is more obvious the smaller the subject is, as with the headshot when compared with the full body image.

Using flat colors without shading and highlighting also allowed me to to play with skin tones I usually avoid when shading and highlighting (because I'm colorblind, things can get a bit crazy unless I know *exactly* how to shade a skin tone, so I tend to stick with a chosen few), so that -- as well as time saved -- is a bit of a bonus. I did all three of these in a week, whereas shaded/detailed versions would probably have taken me a week each.

One aspect of the style is that with a white border, you get a great vinyl sticker effect: sta.sh/028o0xkzc53c

So, what do you think? Is this style interesting at all? I feel like it could be a good way to get some pieces out of my system when I get the urge to draw them, without slowing down my progress on my usual stuff very much. But if it looks like I'm just half-assing it, then maybe not. Let me know what you think, please.
